Between March 5 and April 11, 2020, Gustavo Dudamel and Herbie Hancock will bring together musicians, artists and activists from a variety of musical traditions and social movements for Power to the People!, a festival that celebrates the intersection of music and humanitarianism.

In November 2019, Gustavo returned to CDMX, where he has previously performed with the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra and Vienna Philharmonic. This visit marked Gustavo’s first performances with the LA Phil in the Mexican capital, and featured performances and residencies as a celebration of 50 years of sisterhood between CDMX and Los Angeles.

At the end of June 2020, Gustavo Dudamel and the Berlin Philharmonic will travel to Tokyo together to perform four concerts at the Tokyo 2020 Nippon Festival, as part of the 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Gustavo Dudamel leads his LA Phil orchestra into its second century in 2019-2020, in a season that kicks off with a performance that features three of the Phil's legendary conductors--Dudamel, Esa-Pekka Salonen, and Zubin Mehta--who combined have led the orchestra for nearly half of its existence.
