The Magic Flute at the Liceu Opera Barcelona

After his triumph last season with Otello, Gustavo Dudamel returns to the Liceu for Mozart’s iconic opera. Paolo Bortolameolli, Principal Guest Conductor of the Santiago Philharmonic Orchestra at the Teatro Municipal and Associate Conductor of the Los Angeles Philharmonic (LA Phil), takes the baton on June 27 and July 1. 

The tenor Javier Camarena will debut the title role of Tamino, accompanied by a cast of extraordinary voices: Lucy Crowe, Serena Sáenz, Kathryn Lewek, Sara Blanch, Matthias Goerne, Mercedes Gancedo, Julien Behr, Stephen Milling, Pau Armengol, Thomas Oliemans, Joan Martín-Royo, among others.

Gustavo Dudamel and Paolo Bortolameolli will lead the Choir and Orchestra of the Gran Teatre del Liceu, to unfold the mysteries of this iconic score, which will also feature the participation of VEUS - Cor Infantil Amics de la Unió.
