CDMX festival explores music of Mexico City

Offering a multi-faceted look into Mexico City's music scene, the Los Angeles Philharmonic's CDMX will explore the city's contemporary music scenes as well as its centuries-old musical traditions. Six concerts offer music from across genres, from orchestral and film music to rock, alternative, electronic, and more.

The series will see Music and Artistic Director Gustavo Dudamel conducting the LA Phil with Natalia Lafourcade and Café Tacvba for the first time, an evening of film music co-curated by Alejandro G. Iñárritu and Daniela Michel, and performances by artists including Antonio Sanchez, Mezrrisset, NAAFI, and more. Audiences can hear world premieres from composers Arturo Márquez, Gabriela Ortiz, Édgar Guzmán, Juan Felipe Waller, Iván Naranjo, Diana Syrse, and Alejandro Castaños.
