Gustavo Dudamel is first-ever Princeton University Concerts Artist-in-Residence

Gustavo Dudamel is the first-ever Artist-in-Residence at Princeton University Concerts, curating and participating in a series of events that underline his mission to inspire and empower the next generation of music-makers.
Gustavo curates three concerts in the 2018/19 125th anniversary season, spotlighting musicians from orchestras with which he is closely associated: the Los Angeles Philharmonic and the Berlin Philharmonic. Each performance invites listeners to explore music's relationship to the world around us. Three themes – Art & the Americas, Art & Faith, and Art & Nature – are discussed in depth by Gustavo and thinkers from a range of disciplines following each concert. Exploring the theme "Art & Society," Gustavo also leads two concerts with the Princeton University Orchestra and Glee Club, one featuring video by Venezuelan film director Alberto Arvelo.
During his three visits to Princeton, Gustavo also takes part in campus-wide interdisciplinary collaborations with Princeton's Center for Human Values, the Woodrow Wilson School's Center for Arts and Cultural Policy, the Princeton University Art Museum, and more. His participation in a series of educational events culminate in a collaboration with Trenton Music Makers.
