European Tour with Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela in January 2015

In January 2015, Gustavo Dudamel will tour Europe with the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela, performing eleven concerts in seven cities across the continent.

The tour begins with a pair of concerts on January 8 and 9, 2015 at London’s Royal Festival Hall, where Gustavo and the Bolívars last appeared as part of the London 2012 Cultural Olympiad. The January 8 program pairs Julián Orbón’s Tres versions sinfónicas alongside Mahler’s Fifth Symphony. On January 9, Gustavo and the Bolívars pair Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony with orchestral selections from Wagner’s Ring cycle.

Following their London concerts, Gustavo and the orchestra bring these two programs to concerts Brussels’s Palais des Beaux-Arts (January 11 & 12), Frankfurt’s Die Alte Oper (January 14), Barcelona’s Palau de la Música Catalana (January 16 & 17), Valencia’s Palau de la Música (January 19), and Madrid’s Auditorio Nacional de Música (January 20). The January tour concludes with two concerts at the new Philharmonie de Paris (January 24 & 25).
