Dudamel and LA Phil's Inaugural Gala to be first full-length classical concert video released on iTunes

On September 14, Deutsche Grammophon will release on iTunes the live video recording of Gustavo Dudamel’s 2009 Inaugural Concert with the Los Angeles Philharmonic.  Recorded at Walt Disney Concert Hall on October 8 of last year, this DG Concerts release marks the first time a full-length classical concert video has been made available on iTunes. The program includes John Adams’s Los Angeles-inspired work, City Noir, and Mahler’s Symphony No. 1.  City Noir was commissioned specifically for the opening of Dudamel’s inaugural season with the LA Phil and received its world premiere that evening.
