Mozartwoche with the Vienna Philharmonic

Gustavo returns to the podium of the Vienna Philharmonic on January 26, conducting the esteemed ensemble at Salzburg's Großes Festspielhaus as part of the Austrian town's annual Mozartwoche. Wagner's Siegfried-Idyll prefaces Mozart's D Minor Piano Concerto K466, to be played by Portuguese guest pianist Maria Joao Pires. Gustavo's Mozartwoche program with the Vienna Philharmonic concludes with the composer's "Posthorn" Serenade. Details here.

Last year, Gustavo, the Vienna Philharmonic, and Deutsche Grammophon released a special charity LP, which represents the Venezuelan's debut with the iconic Austrian ensemble. Proceeds from the album benefit the San Vicente núcleo of El Sistema in the Aragua State of Venezuela. Order it here.
