Gustavo Dudamel returns to conduct Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra in Sweden and on European tour
This week Gustavo Dudamel returns to the podium of the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra as its Honorary Conductor for concerts in the orchestra’s home city and a tour to France, Switzerland, and Italy. The Venezuelan conductor leads a program of Strauss’s tone poem Till Eulenspiegel, Mozart’s Symphony No. 38, “Prague,” and Sibelius’s Second Symphony. Following their concerts in Gothenburg (April 16 & 17), Gustavo and the orchestra embark on their tour to Aix-en-Provence (April 20), Udine (April 22), Lugano (April 23), Perugia (April 24), Brescia (April 25), and Bergamo (April 26). In Lugano, Strauss’s Till Eulenspiegel is replaced by Sibelius’s The Swan of Tuonela.
