Gustavo Dudamel leads Lieberson world premiere, plus Tchaikovsky and Schubert, in first concert series of LA Phil’s 2013-14 season
For his first concerts of the LA Phil’s 2013-14 season, Music Director Gustavo Dudamel leads the world premiere of the late Peter Lieberson’s Shing Kham, an LA Phil-commissioned percussion concerto realized by composer Oliver Knussen. Framing Lieberson’s concerto are Schubert’s Fourth Symphony and Tchaikovsky’s magnificent First Piano Concerto, with guest soloist Yefim Bronfman at the keyboard. Details here.
