Dudamel rings in the New Year with the Berlin Philharmonic
For his final concerts of 2010, Gustavo Dudamel returns to the Berlin Philharmonic to lead the orchestra in performances of popular works by Berlioz, Saint-Saëns, Bizet and de Falla. The program opens with Berlioz's stand-alone overture, Le Carnaval Romain, and includes several beloved works from the French operatic repertoire by Saint-Saëns, Berlioz and Bizet sung by Latvian mezzo-soprano Elīna Garanča. The concerts take place on December 29, 30 and 31 at Berlin's Philharmonie.
