Dudamel conducts Brahms and Nielsen with GSO April 28 to 30
Gustavo Dudamel returns to Sweden later this month to lead the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra in three already sold-out performances on April 28, 29 and 30. Featured on the program for these concerts, which mark the Venezuelan conductor's final performances with the GSO in the 2010/11 season, are Brahms's Tragic Overture and First Symphony and Nielsen's Clarinet Concerto with Martin Fröst as the soloist. In other GSO news, a box set of new recordings of Dudamel conducting the GSO is being planned for release in the autumn of 2011 by Deutsche Grammophon.
