2011/12 Dudamel Fellows announced

The Los Angeles Philharmonic and its Music Director Gustavo Dudamel today announced the Dudamel Fellows for the 2011/12 season. They are Joshua Dos Santos from Caracas, Venezuela; Mihaela Cesa-Goje from Satu Mare, Romania; Courtney Lewis from Belfast, Northern Ireland; and Santtu Rouvali from Helsinki, Finland. During the program, which will run separately from four to six weeks for each of the selected fellows, the aspiring conductors will hone their skills through observation and application. The fellows will conduct Los Angeles Philharmonic youth concerts at Walt Disney Concert Hall and Los Angeles Philharmonic Neighborhood Concerts, participate as a cover conductor, and serve as mentors to students through participation in LA Phil education initiatives including the Youth Orchestra of Los Angeles (YOLA).
