Stravinsky's Firebird with the LA Phil
This week Gustavo Dudamel and the Los Angeles Philharmonic perform the music to Stravinsky's ballet The Firebird, in a program that celebrates the orchestral colors of the 19th and 20th centuries. Gustavo's concerts with the LA Phil also feature Debussy's tone poem La mer, as well as the orchestra's first performance of French-Canadian composer Claude Vivier's all-string Zipangu (except Friday). Learn more about Gustavo and the LA Phil's performances on February 28, March 1, 2, and 3 here.
Gustavo and the LA Phil will reprise this musical program on tour next month, presenting the repertoire on March 17 as part of their International Residency at London's Barbican Centre, March 21 in Lucerne, March 24 in Paris, and March 27 in New York.
